What we do
How we help
Virtual Support Center
Our Zoom, phone, and chat service connects the community with trained Rabbis who understand mental health.
This service is overseen by our Clinical Supervision team of trained mental health professionals. It serves not only as an address for halachic and spiritual questions, but provides caring support and a gateway to professional therapy and care.
Rabbinic Training
Maaglei Nefesh is breaking new ground by training Rabbis and community religious leaders in mental health and Halacha (Jewish law). Participants learn how to:
1. Remove religious barriers to recovery
2. Tackle isolation & stigma through pastoral and social care
3. Serve as a frontline referrer to mental health services
Resources and Community Education
Maaglei Nefesh Rabbinic staff give lectures and shiurim around the world.
We also publish educational materials and resources, helping the wider community find answers to the Jewish dilemmas that affect their mental health.
Common Jewish Mental Health Dilemmas
can I call my therapist on Shabbat?
Pesach and fast days interrupt my regular eating patterns as I recover from an eating disorder
Music is the only thing that provides relief from my severe depression. What do I do on Shabbat?
Your financial support goes a long way. By putting one Rabbi through a training course you are helping hundreds of people with mental health challenges throughout that Rabbi’s career.
Any amount is greatly appreciated. Donations are tax deductible in Israel, USA, and Australia. Please consider making a tax donation today.
